Delilah M. Shelton, of Del Rio went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at University of Tennessee Medical Center after a short battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Yates; mother Ella Mae Yates; brothers, Charles Wayne Yates and Danny Roger Yates; and nephew Steven Ray Yates. She is survived by her husband of 39 years Berry Shelton; son Scottie Lee (Kristi) Shelton; daughter Shawna (James Sutton) Shelton; brother Donnie Yates; sister Linda Sue Arrowood; brother-in-law JM Shelton; sister-in-law Nell Martin; grandchildren Colby, Kayla, and Emma Shelton, special granddaughter Chloe Sutton; great grandson Dillion Parks; special uncle and aunt Sherrill and Micki Yates; nephews Ricky Haney, Dwayne, Steven, Jason, Christopher Yates; Tommy, Shawn Arrowood; nieces Christy Williams and Kelly Yates; special friends Juanita Willis, Melanie Helton; the gang at Food City; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Caney Caldwell officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Clark Cemetery in Del Rio. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday prior to funeral services. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Manes Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
