Ella Mae Yates, of Del Rio, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009, at St. Mary's Health System in Knoxville. She was a member of Round Mountain Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edmond Yates; son, Charles Wayne Yates; grandson, Steven Ray Yates; brother, Ray William Stokely; parents, Flora and Samuel Angus Stokely. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Arrowood and Delilah Shelton (Berry); son, Danny Yates (companion Phyllis Gentry); very special grandchildren, Ricky, Christie, Shawna, Scottie, Tommy, Shawn, Dewayne, Kelly, Jason, Steven and Christopher; three special great-granddaughters Chloe, Madison, and Madelyn; 15 other great-grandchildren; two special friends, Tabitha Wyatt and Sandra Haney; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2009, in the Chapel of Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Tois Seay officiating. Interment will follow in Clark Cemetery in Deep Gap.
