U.S. Veteran Lloyd Bible, age 94, of Parrottsville, passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 at his home. He was of the Baptist faith and a WWII Army veteran. He was a long time Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves play. He was preceded in death by his wife Nell Blazer Bible parents Edward and Mae Bible, brothers Weaver, Minnis, Joel, Hugh and James Leslie Bible, sisters Ovella “Bado” Ottinger, Ollie Yates, Ora Speed and Ornal Bible along with several nieces and nephews. Survivors include his sister-in-law Emma Bible, special nieces and nephews Marie and Eddie Watts, Phyllis Douglas, Pat and Mike Gilbert, Eddie and Angela Bible, Billy Bible and Sheila Waddell, special great-niece and nephew Leslie Bible and Brandon Bible along with other nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends, special friend Jerry Jennings, long time special friend Gertie Jennings, and special caregiver and friend Tammy “Debbie” Greene. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 6, 2012 in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Hurst and Rev. Glen Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in Clark Cemetery (Deep Gap) with military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Brown Funeral Home.
