PATTERSON, JAMES O - born March 5, 1924, went to be with God, Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at UT Medical Center. Retired from Roadway Express, he was a member of Beckwith Baptist Church and served with the Armed Forces during World War II in Italy, Japan, Algeria and the Philippines. Preceded in death by: his parents, William and Ethel Patterson three sisters infant Olean Patterson, Mai Armstrong and Jewell Copass and a brother, Corzell Patterson. Survived by: his wife, Helen Patterson son, Charles Patterson of Knoxville daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Mike Sweet three grandchildren, John Hensley IV and wife Kathy of Knoxville, Angel Wade of Knoxville, and Wendy Patterson of Seymour three great grandchildren, Laura and John Hensley V and Layton Wade sister, Kathleen Reeder of Madison, TN special niece, Sue Groom and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday evening May 8 from 6-8 p.m. at Highland South on Chapman Highway. Graveside services Sunday May 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Highland South Cemetery with Rev.
