U.S. Veteran Ronald Lee Campbell, age 68, died peacefully in his home in Northport, on February 7, 2016, following a brief battle with cancer. He was a graduated in 1966 at Cocke County High School, where he played baseball and basketball. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Vietnam from 1969-1971. He worked at the Holiday Inn in Newport and retired from Bush's in 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Naomi Campbell; sisters, Fay Miller and Judy Hall. He is survived by his wife Anita Campbell; brothers, Jerry Campbell (Suzette) and Keith (Juanita) Campbell; children, Rhonda Campbell, Richard Campbell, Ronald Scott (Julie) Campbell; stepchildren, Kristen (Scottie) Barnes and Johnny (Brandi) Stinnett; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm THURSDAY, February 11, 2015 with funeral services following at 7:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home West Chapel, with Rev. Kris Brady officiating. Per his request he will be cremated after the service.
