WALLER, ERNEST EUGENE ( ERNIE ) - age 71, of West Knoxville, lost his courageous battle for life and went to be with the Lord, after a brief illness, Sunday, December 27, 1998, at Park West Hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. A veteran of the US Army and longtime employee of Marshalls Bedding Co. He was preceded in death by parents, V.O. and Flora Waller; brothers, James Ray and Robert Lee; sisters, Mable, Helen and Annie. Survivors: sisters, Ruth Long and Lillian Satterfield; sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris and H.C. Turner, Betty and Cecil Hutchison; brother and sister-in-law, Clint and Stella Waller; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 1998, at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel, Rev. Steve Hutchison officiating. Family and friends will meet at Zion Methodist Cemetery, Duncan Rd., Wednesday, December 30th for an 11 a.m. graveside service and interment. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.
