Mary Elizabeth Lewis, born May 3, 1941, went to her Heavenly Home to be reunited with her husband of 56 years on Thursday, December 19, 2013. After 4 years of separation, they are finally together again. She was surrounded by the love and care of the people who adored her most. She was a devout Christian, an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She left a lasting memory with anyone she had the pleasure of meeting. Preceded in death by husband, Roy Lewis; parents, Robert and Gladys Williams; and brothers, Wes and Dennis Williams. Survived by children and spouses, Mike and Patti, Rick and Tammy, Linda and Andy, Brenda and Carroll, Donna and Frank, David and Jannifer; grandchildren, Marianna, Tabitha, Stephanie, Amber, Patrick, Andrew, Franky, Matthew, Erica, Josh, Kevin, Alex, and Bethany; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Aadin, and Andi; sisters, Dorothy, Nellie and Bobbie; and special friend, Crystal Brewer. The family would like to express gratitude to her granddaughter, caretaker, and best friend, Stephanie. There are no words for how much care and love she has shown to Mamaw. “Stephanie, you were her saving grace and the prayer that we all prayed for. We all appreciate the love and compassion you have shown with support of close friend, Crystal Brewer. You both will never know our love and thankfulness to you.” Pallbearers will be grandsons and special friend Darryl “Homely” Hickman. Honorary pallbearer, Amber Cook. Funeral service 8pm Saturday Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, Rev. Blaine Lewis, Rev. Archie Haggard and Rev. Jack Cook, officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45am Sunday at Pollard Cemetery for 11am interment service. Family will receive friends 6-8pm Saturday Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
