Martha Ethel Templin, age 66, of Newport went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cisco and Ida Dockery; and nephews, Scott Dockery, Michael J. Gray, and Wayne E. Mason.
She is survived by her husband, Merle R. Templin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cisco S. and Betty Dockery, George and Louise Dockery, and Jennings and Mary Dockery; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Donald Cody; special nieces and nephews, Khristy and Dalton Lunsford, Kim Shropshire, and Will Essary; several other nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; also her extended family, Fred and Jeannatte Rimmer, Jerry and Debra Rimmer, and co-workers at Tennessee Machine and Hosiery; close friends, Jay and Ada Hardin, Daryl and Cindy Pack. The family expresses their deepest thanks to Dr. Hanna and the staff at the University of Tennessee Cancer Institution; also hospice nurses, Carolyn, Debbie and Florence, who have been a great help.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Resthaven Memorial Mausoleum.
Family and friends may call at their convenience after 2 p.m. Friday and before 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at Manes Funeral Home.
