Ellis Bell Spears, age 71, of Crawfordville, Florida, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2002 at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare in Tallahassee, Florida. Native and lifelong resident of Walkulla Co., Fla., retired from Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare as the supervisor of the painting department. He was of the Baptist faith, a veteran of the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by wife, Nelle C. Spears.
Survivors: nieces, Marsha Tucker, of Crawfordville, Fla., Virginia Ford, of Tallahassee, Fla., Sue Glover, of Woodville, Fla.; nephews, Dudley Gramling, of Wassisa, Fla., Henry Kearse, of Woodville, Fla.; brother-in-law, Roy Huskey of Alcoa; sisters-in-law, Rowena Huskey, Alda Conner, Anna Lee Whaley all of Alcoa; several great and great-great nieces and nephews, and many other family members.
Family and friends will meet at Mattox Cemetery in Sevier County at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2002 for graveside service and interment, Elder Stan Tucker officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
