Leola Marie Linkous, born July 29, 1924, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 19, 2009 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. After growing up in Knoxville, Leola spent 25 years working with Dempster Brothers before taking full retirement and moving to Charlotte, NC where she worked with the Billy Graham Association for over 30 years. Preceded in death by father and mother, Clay and Danah Cash Linkous, brothers, Howard C. and James Wilfred Linkous. Survivors, brothers, Ronald Linkous, Paul Lester Linkous, sisters, Mildred Stooksbury (Glenmore), Carolyn Linkous, favorite niece, Donna Kaye Thomas, several other nieces and nephews and extended families. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Family and friends will meet, 12:45 p.m., Saturday, Glenwood Cemetery for a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. Announced by Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
