Ada Lawson McPherson, age 93, passed away on April 15, 2006 at Pigeon Forge Care and Rehabilitation Center and entered the gates of Heaven to be reunited with her husband Edgar McPherson, son Jimmy McPherson, parents J. Newt and Viola Lawson, brother Paul Lawson, sister Ruby Drinnen, and many other family members and friends.
Ada was a charter member of the Senior Saints Sunday School Class of ValleyView Baptist Church in Wears Valley.
She is survived by her sisters and brother-in-law: Ina Ownby, Kate Hedrick, Aureta Whaley, Johnnie Autrey, Floy Headrick and husband Harris; brothers and sisters-in-law: Henry and Ruth Lawson, and Frank and Amalee Lawson; brother and sister-in-law: Loman and Eloise McPherson of Gaithersburg. MD; sister-in-law: L.J. Lawson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to her extended family at Pigeon Forge Care and Rehabilitation for the love and care that they gave her.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening April 18, 2006 at Rawlings Funeral Home from 6:00 until 7:30 pm with Funeral services beginning at 7:30 pm in the Chapel with the Reverend Preston Joslin. Family and friends will gather Wednesday April 19, 2006 at the Mattox Cemetery in Wears Valley at 10:00 am for the Interment Service.
In Lieu of Flowers the family wishes for donations to be made to the Mattox Cemetery Fund.
