HARGIS, STELLA ELMORE - age 88 of Knoxville, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2005 at the Hillcrest North Nursing Home. She was a member of the Roseberry Baptist Church and retired from Standard Knitting Mills. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Rastuss Elmore and Lela Elmore Miller her husband, Charles Robert Hargis brothers, Norvel Miller and Little Freddie Miller sister, Lucille Ellis. She is survived by: her son, Marshall Hargis and wife Angela brothers and sisters-in-laws, Harry Miller and wife Beulah, Bobby Miller and wife Jean granddaughters, Duree` Snapp and Tiffany Barnard great-grandsons, David Snapp and Nicholas Barnard and many nieces and nephews special sisters-in-law, Fannye Kinamon and Betty Miller and her close friend, Kathryn "Cricket" Holt. Our deep thanks to Hillcrest North Nursing Home for all their Love and Care given to Stella during her stay there. Graveside services were conducted at 11:00am on Wednesday at the Roseberry Cemetery with Rev. David Webster and Rev. Kenny Shinlever officiating. Family and friends met at the cemetery at 10:45am. McCarty Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
