MYNATT, WILLIAM S. " BILL" 59, Lee's Summit, MO, formerly of Knoxville, TN, passed away April 21, 2007 from a battle with cancer. Bill spent most of his childhood helping in his father's shoe repair store on Cumberland Ave. After graduating Seymour High School, he joined the U.S. Air Force where he served in the military police at Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, MO. After 5 years of service, Bill moved to Kansas City where he founded Mynatt Truck and Equipment Co. He was a licensed pilot and thoroughly enjoyed cruising the sky with the second love of his life, his daughter Samantha. Bill touched many lives with his loving and easy-going demeanor and is survived by: his wife of 37 years, Robin Mynatt; daughter, Samantha Mynatt, Dallas, TX; mother, Faye Mynatt of Knoxville, TN; brother, Jimmy Mynatt and wife Kathy, their children, Stephanie, Joseph & Haley of Seymour, TN; brother, Larry Mynatt, his children, Lauren, Elijah and Jeremiah of Knoxville, TN; and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 24 at the Speaks Memorial Chapel in Independence, MO from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Wed., April 25, 2007. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Diabetes Assoc. or the American Cancer Society.
