SELF , JAMES SANFORD , SR. - age 82, of Louisville, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 28, 1999, at the family home. He was a member of Hillview Baptist Church and a member of the Alcoa 25 Year Club. Survivors include: wife, Ola Mae Self ; son, James Self , Jr. of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, John and Susan Self of Louisville; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Hugh McCall, Phyllis and Marvin Loveday, both of Louisville, Edith and David Barry of Ooltewah; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Douglas Self , J.S. Self , Charles Self ; sisters, Bonnie Rogers, Ruth Bryant; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 1999, in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Greg Williamson and Rev. Arkie Baker officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 1999, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hillview Baptist Church Special Fund, c/o Glenn Welch, 2801 Milford St., Maryville, TN 37804. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 1999, in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.
