Andy Bryan Rader, 22, of Newport, passed away suddenly Sunday, August 21, 2005, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Andy was a member of the graduating class of 2000 at Cocke County High School and was an honor student at the vocational school, Tennessee Technology Center in Morristown. He was a state-licensed electrician, he was a hard worker, and loved to work.
Andy would always meet you with an open heart and a tender smile. He treated you the same, whether he had seen you just yesterday or last year. He had a smile that made you want to smile. Andy never knew a stranger.
He is survived by his parents, Tony and Mildred Haynes Rader; sisters, Heather Rader and fiancé, Shannon Askew, and Celeste Rader Collins and husband, Josh Collins; paternal grandparents, Clyde Rader and the late Edith Fox Rader; maternal grandparents, the late Walter and Beaulah Suggs Haynes; aunt, Dorothy Haynes Collins, of Dalton, Ga.; several cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends, special neighbors: the Trenthams, Rowlands, and Balls. He will sadly missed by a friend whom he was waiting for.
Funeral service will be 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2005, at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with Brother Craig Ward and Pastor John Rush officiating. Interment will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. prior to the funeral services at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church.
Active pallbearers will be Justin Ball, Trent Frazier, Blake Shults, David Henderson, Mickey Collins, Brent Collins, Lamar Collins, and Michael Henderson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Rowland, Darrell Jenkins, David Phillips, Travis Proffitt, Kenneth Hall, Randy Ramsey, Terry Ball, Travis Grooms, Mike Derring, Lee Trent, Rick Long, and Danny West.
