Raymond L. Woolum, 63 of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed from this life at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at his residence following an extended battle with cancer.
He was born December 29, 1950, in Chillicothe, the son of the late Raymond A. and Mona Bondurant Woolum. On September 27, 1988 he married Robin Hall, who survives.
Also surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Amy (Matt) Ejma, Gatlinburg, TN and Jessica (Henry) Burnside, Morristown, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Robby (Edna) Williams, Colorado Springs, CO; four grandchildren: Alexis Valentine, Sable Burnside, Lakin Burnside, and Brock Williams; father-in-law Raymond L Hall, Newport, TN; two brothers-in-law Roger (Linda) Hall and Kenneth (Tammy) Hall, both of Newport, TN; aunt: Helen Corrigan, New Port Ritchey, FL; two nieces Beth (Randy) Gable and Sheri (Tony)Fultz, and several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
His parents, one sister, Carolyn Kay Fizer, a brother-in-law, Don Fizer, and mother-in-law Faye Hall preceded him in death.
Mr. Woolum, a devoted husband and father, was a member of First United Methodist Church. He graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1969 and Morehead State University in 1973. Locally, he had worked at Bargain City and Mead Corp, there he moved on with his accounting skills to work for the Sheridan Corp, Adams Mark Hotels, Tecton Corp, Myrtle Beach Hilton, Columbus Holiday Inn and lastly Berger Health Systems where he retired in 2012.
Funeral services will be held at11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014, in the Fawcett Oliver Glass & Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00—8:00 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Adena Health System, 111 W. Water St, Chillicothe, OH 45601-9938.
