Mr. Tex Martin Rader, age 68, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at Jackson Madison Hospital in Jackson, TN.
Mr. Rader had been a patient at Milan Health Care in Milan, TN. He was originally from Parrottsville.
Mr. Rader was of the Methodist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Edith Rader, a special uncle and aunt Vernium and Alma Dell Williams, a special aunt Marie Rader, nephew Andy Rader, and friend Vicki Sturgill
Mr. Rader is survived by his special brother and sister-in-law Tony and Mildred Rader of Newport, brother and sister-in-law Ricky and Sarah Rader of Oak Ridge; sisters and brothers-in-law Georgia and Ken Hall of Dandridge; Judy and Danny West and Sandra and Billy Sauceman, all of Newport; Debbie and Kenny Sane and sister Rosemary Bryant, all of Parrottsville.
Additional survivors include his aunt Audrey Rader of Newport and several nieces and nephews, including special nephew Rusty Nease, many cousins including special cousin Jim Williams, and special friends Mary Miller, Earl Sturgill, and Dorcie Sturgill.
By Mr. Rader's side Sunday, prior to his death, were his special sister Georgia Hall and Georgia's lifetime friend Jane Seay.
Funeral services were held Friday, November 20, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hensley and Rev. Tom Shelton officiating. Interment followed in Harned's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the services.
Pallbearers were Norman Ricker, Jim Williams, Danny West, Rusty Nease, David Fox, and Gary Rader.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to God's Willing Vessels Food Pantry, c/o Swannsylvania Baptist Church, 921 Swannsylvania Road, Dandridge, TN 37725.
