MONTGOMERY, BRYANT S. (LT. COL. RETIRED) - Age 92 of Nashville, TN passed away October 30, 2009. He was a Project Manager of Engineering Design for the TVA. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ann C. Montgomery. Survived by: sons, Dr. Michael Montgomery and David Montgomery (Maria); daughters, Dr. Marcia Montgomery and Karen Atchley (Philip); grandchildren, Rachel Atchley, Marcus Atchley, Julia Lopez (Martin), Michael Montgomery, Victor Montgomery and Daniel Montgomery. In his youth he was involved with General Motors Fisher Body Model Building competition, winning top honors in the South for several years in the 1930's and with models exhibited at the 1933 Chicago World's Fair, 1936 Great Lakes Exhibition in Cleveland and the 1939 New York Worlds Fair. Prior to employment with TVA Mr. Montgomery taught Mechanical Engineering and Drafting at Arkansas Polytechnic College in Russellville, Arkansas. During WWII he served in the U.S. Air Corps in Italy with the rank of Captain. After returning to civilian life, he served in the USAF reserves attaining the rank of LT. Col. Memorial service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church, with visitation one hour prior in the Cheek House.
