SPARKS, ELSIE McCLANAHAN - age 68, of Maryville, passed away Sunday evening, April 14, 2002, at Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee, Knoxville. She was of the Baptist Faith. Preceded in death by husband, Bluford Sparks, Jr., and great-grandchild, Allison Pearl Grace Crawford. Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Brenda Sparks, and Randal and Cheryl Sparks; sons, Dave Sparks and Bobby Spicer, all of Maryville; daughters, Kathy Ramsey of Maryville, Robin Seymour of Maryville; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister, UnaV Veal of Maryville; brother, John "Bud" McClanahan of Maryville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2002, Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jerry Little officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
