HARMON, CHARLES E. (CHARLIE) -age 68 of Farragut, passed away Thursday morning, November 29, 2001 at U.T. Medical Center. Charlie was a member of New Hopewell Baptist Church but had recently attended Virtue Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was retired from South Central Bell with over 30 years of service. Charlie was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid supporter of Farragut High School Football. Survivors: wife, Mary E. Harmon; son, Rocky Harmon of Farragut; mother, Margaret Witenbarger ; brother, Douglas Harmon both of Knoxville. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Highland West Mausoleum for graveside services and entombment. Honorary pall bearers, Eddie Courtney, Buddy Fisher, Ken Couch, John Murphy, Tom Akers, Ruddy Duty, Bill Welch, J. T. Rosenbaum, Clyde Floyd, and Britt Limpus.
