William “Bill” Finchum, of Newport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of English Mountain Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Ruth Finchum; sister Patsy Moore; brother-in law Jim Bellamy and father-in-law A. D. Messer. He is survived by his wife Darlene Finchum; sister Anna Bellamy; stepsons Jason Smith (Tonya) and Chris Smith (Jamie); step grandchildren Addy Smith and Alyssa Smith; brother-in-law Oake Moore; one nephew Johnny Moore; two nieces Pam Luketic and Laura Cox. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at English Mountain Christian Church with Pastor Rick Carr officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at English Mountain Christian Church.
