J. D. WRIGHT, age 57, of the Chestnut Hill Community, Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday, April 9, 2006 at his home. He was a member of the Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church and was an associate memeber of the Dandridge First United Methodist Church, where he was active in the Methodist Mens Club. J. D. was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and the Vietnam Conflict and was a member of the V.F.W. Post # 2372. He was a retired employee of Joseph Construction Company and belonged to the Teamsters Local Union # 135. Preceded in death by his parents, Donald M. and Fredia Shell Wright. Survived by wife, Jodie Bible Wright; children, Beth Ann (Gregg) Guff of Middleton, IN, J. C. (Imogene) Wright of Dandridge, TN, Courtney and Jessica Wright, both of Dandridge, Amber (Tim) Sane of Johnson, City, TN; grandchildren, Laken Guff, Makaye Messer, Tanner Guff, and MaeAnna Sane; special friend, Roger Pounders; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. John Clark, Rev. Mary Parson and Rev. Larry DeVault officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery with military honors. The body will be moved to the church to lie in state 1 hour before services. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The ALS Association-Tennessee Chapter, P. O. Box 40244, Nashville, TN 37204.
