WARE - Ruth (Mulvany) Barbiasz , 93, of 194 North St., died Wednesday in Boston. She was the wife of the late Joseph Barbiasz . She leaves 2 daughters, Jane Barbiasz of West Roxbury and Mary Ellen Barbiasz of Lincoln; a granddaughter, Elizabeth of Lincoln; and one sister, Agnes Southworth of Ware. She was born in Ware, daughter of Bernard and Ellen (Greene) Mulvany, and was a lifelong resident. A nurse, she worked at Mary Lane Hospital and worked as Private Duty Nurse. She also assisted Dr. William Hallisey in his practice in Ware. She was a communicant of All Saints Church. She was one of the first Girl Scout Leaders in Ware, and helped to found the Ware Catholic Lending Library. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Funeral services will be held on Saturday from the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church. Burial will be in New St. William Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Donations may be made in her name to the Joe Barbiasz Adoption Fund, c/o 8d North Commons Rd., Lincoln, MA 01773.
