Delia Purda, 86, of 37 Green Meadow died Friday in Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. Born in Ware, Mass., she was a graduate of Ware High School. She moved here later. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Church, and a member of the Ava Maria Circle of the Daughters of Isabella, and the Emblem Club. Her husband, Walter Purda, died in 1986. Mrs. Purda leaves a son, Walter Jr. of Yarmouth, Maine; two daughters, Elizabeth Richards of Dummerston and Dorothy P. Hayden of Montpelier; two brothers, Matthew and Joseph of Ware; two sisters, Rose Barbiasz of Ware and Mary Kos of Grafton, Mass., and seven grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be offered Monday afternoon in the church, with burial in the parish cemetery. There are no calling hours, and Ker-Westerlund & Fleming Funeral Home is in charge. Memorial contributions may go to the church on Walnut Street, Brattleboro, 05301, or the Winston Prouty Center, 2 Oak St., Brattleboro, 05301.
