Henry Douglas Worsham, age 91 of Pigeon Forge, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013.
Mr. Worsham was a member of First Baptist Church of Sevierville. He was a Shriner and a lifetime member of the Kerbela Dune Buggy Unit. He served in the Air Force during World War II and completed 30 missions with the 447th Bomber Group. He retired from the Mountain Press and was once a member of the Sevier County Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid fisherman.
He is preceded in death by his son, Tony Worsham; daughter, Joan Roundtree; parents, Samuel and Kindness Worsham; sisters, Polly Wyatt, Ethel Hayes and Charlotte Gable; brothers, John, R.E., George and Crotell Worsham.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and JoAnn Worsham; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Worsham; a host of much loved nieces and nephews; and special friend Ed Reagan.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Wednesday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Ogle officiating. Interment 11 AM Thursday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. Military honors by American Legion Post 104. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. (www.atchleylfuneralhome.com)
