Roberta M. Helton, age 64, of Newport passed away, Sunday, August 12, 2007 at Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Burnett and Sarah Williams McKinney; sisters, Joyce Beckett, Beatrice McKinney, Retha McKinney, Sarah McKinney and Lucille Dini; and brother, Frank McKinney. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Shelia Loyd Gentry; daughters, Carla Gentry and Shirley Helton; sisters, Lois Frady, Gladys Lynch and Coleen Hurst; brother and sister-in-law, Dwynn and Anna Carolyn McKinney; grandchildren, Casey Gentry, Samantha Jenkins, Alan Helton, Dana Gentry and Lindsey Loyd; great grandchild, Austin Caskey; special friends, Billy Pat Cureton, Barbara Owenby, Jane Allen, Deborah Smith and George Hartsell; also many other family and friends. Memoral services will be held 8:00 pm, Wednesday, August 15, 2007 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the memorial service.
