Waldo, Mary Catherine Gamble, June 2, 1912 to November 25, 2005, Nashville, TN. Preceded in death by her husband, Fordyce L. Waldo, her parents Moses H. and Nannie C. Gamble, brothers and sisters. Survived by her daughters, Catherine W. Steger and Nancy W. Geer; former son-in-law, Thomas H. Steger; grandchildren, Thomas Hall (Jenny) Steger, Jr., Mary Catherine Steger,
and Danol (Angela) Geer; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Hannah, and Bailey Steger, and Linda and Heavenleigh Geer; nephews, Douglas Gamble and wife Nina Gregg, Robert Houston Gamble; nieces, Gale Bryant, and Nancy Bromley; and beloved family and friends. Member West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Nashville, and New Providence Presbyterian Church, Maryville. Worked 20 years at ALCOA. Owner of FreindsHaven Squab Farm and Restaurant, Friendsville TN and Scotland, CT.
Graveside service to be held at Grandview Cemetery, Maryville, TN, December 10, 2005 at 9:00 A.M. followed by Memorial service at New Providence Presbyterian Church at 10:00. In lieu of flowers, tax deductible donations in her honor to Tennessee Organization of the Deaf-Blind, 4040 Woodlawn Dr., Unit 34, Nashville, TN 37205 of which she was an active member, or Mockingbird Center and Retirement Center, (for the Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard of Hearing), for which she served on the initial Board of Directors, P.O. Box 218271, Nashville, TN 37221.
