Arthur Frank ''Tarheel'' Davidson, age 89, of Hunt Road, Maryville, died Sunday, September 26, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company and was a member of their 25-Year Club. Preceded in death by: wife, Vernie Lee Davidson; infant daughter; four brothers and two sisters. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, James and Gayle Davidson of Columbia, Glen and Lula Davidson of Atlanta, Ga., Rev. Gary and Cindy Davidson of Maryville, Larry and Phyllis Davidson of Manchester; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Don Gibson of Maryville; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 28, 2004, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Danny Davis officiating. Family and friends will assemble for the interment at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2004, at Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience after 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 28, 2004, at Smith Mortuary.
