U.S. Veteran Retired Master Sergeant Thomas Jackson White, age 78 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 24 plus years. “Jack “or” Old Sarge” and he was known by family and friends, was born and raised in Lenoir City, TN. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Cecile (Beasley) White, along with his mother and father; one nephew; three nieces; grandchild and brother and sister in law. Survived by five children, daughter, Jacque and son in law Dee Walters of Dripping Springs, Texas; son and daughter in law, Brent and Jeanne Wells of Allen, Texas; daughter, Cyndi Johnson of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, son and daughter in law, Jay and Elaine White of Bedford, Texas, daughter and son in law, Cheryl and Brian Delph of Maryville, TN; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 nieces and 6 nephews; sister and brother in law, Gail and Jake Stancile of Lizella, Georgia; brother and sister in law, Robert and Helen Beasley of Mt. Juliet, TN, Rev. Jim and Joyce Beasley of Maryville, TN, Robert and Susan Sizemore of Central, South Carolina. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel Rev. Randy Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville. The graveside service with the Rev. Jim Beasley will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
