Paul William Shockley, of Newport, passed away Sunday at his residence.
He was a veteran of WWII. Paul had worked for Stokely Van Camp for 36 years before his retirement in 1982.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Shockley and father and mother, Buford and Laura (Coffey) Shockley.
He is survived by his stepmother, Louise Shockley, of Newport; one sister, Francis Woodard, of Johnson City; half-sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bud Dawson, of Bybee; special niece, Linda Campbell, of Salt Lake City, Utah; also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Chapel with Bishop Jeffery Heath ofÞciating. Graveside service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. prior to the ser-vice.
Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
