BELL, WOODROW W., SR. - age 83, of Maryville, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of New Providence Masonic Lodge #128, and a member of the Shriners, where he drove a miniature truck in their activities. He as an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors and will be fondly remembered for his love of life, laughter, music, his enjoyment of family, RVing, and woodworking. He was co-owner of Reagan and Trotter and 3B General Contractors. Preceded in death by first wife, Maggie Mae Bell; daughter-in-law, Janie Bell, and son-in-law, Bill Caldwell. Survivors include wife, Sylvia Shields Bell; daughter, Betty Jo Caldwell of Friendsville; son and daughter-in-law, Woodrow Jr. and Sandra Bell of Friendsville; grandchildren, Teri C. Stewart, Kristi and Pete Williams, Trent and Loxy Bell, Amy and Brian Buchanan, Jared Reagan and Serena Reagan; great-grandchildren, Aaron Stewart, Sara Jane and Maggie Mae Bell, Kirbi Jane Buchanan, Jordan Williams, and Kaleb Russell; brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Cleo Bell of Martinsville, W. Va.; sister, June Green of Bethesda, Md. Masonic and Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2001, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary. Family and friends will assemble 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
