October 21, 1939 - May 9, 2016 Norma Jean Kitts, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at her home Monday, May 9, 2016. Norma was preceded by her husband, J. T. Kitts, Jr. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, James Russell and Nicole Kitts; 5 grandchildren, Shaun and Ben Kitts, Kelsey and Vanessa Egly, and Jerika Fox; great-granddaughter, Annika Egly; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Rhonda Jackson; several beloved nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway. Family and friends will meet Friday, May 13, 2016 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for an 11:00am graveside service. In lieu of flowers with great appreciation the family requests memorial contributions be sent to the Helen Ross McNabb Center's Military Services Program, 201 North Springdale Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37917.
