She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Annie Bell Burdette, brothers Clyde Burdette and Robert Burdette, son Billy Lowe, and husband Ruben Lowe. She was employed for a number of years by the Cocke County Clerk’s office. In later years, she resided in Florida and Arkansas before returning to Newport in 2004. She will be sadly missed by daughters Pam Strange and Patti Lowe, both of Newport, son and daughter-in-law Ronnie and Pam Lowe of Dandridge, grandsons Shane Davis and wife Shelby, Jordan Davis and wife Lacy, granddaughters Stephanie, Tiffany, and Kimberly Lowe, great-grandsons Cyler and Cooper Davis, brothers Steve Burdette, Elyria, Ohio, Ed Burdette, Panama City, Florida, sisters Dean Laws, Lorrain, Ohio, and Shelby Fern, LaGrange, Ohio. She also leaves behind loving sisters-in-law Novella Blakely, Estivee Lyda, Daisy Fulton, Martha Shelton, and Velma Barnes. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 19, 2009 in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home from 12:00-1:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Scott Gorrell officiating.
