Diane Elizabeth Surrett, 41, of Cosby, passed away Saturday morning at her home following a lengthy illness.
Before her illness, she was a self-employed craftsman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Eunice Harbin, and a brother, Larry E. Harbin.
Survivors include her husband, Gary C. Surrett, of Cosby; one daughter, Catina Brown, of Hartford; step-children, Amy and her husband, Bill Smith, of Newport, Aleshia Surrett and her fiancé, Alan McClain, of Kingsport, and Amanda Surrett, of Newport; sister, Linda Gulley and her fiancé, Billy Bernard Blaine, of Blaine; brother, Dean "Piglet" Harbin, of Whitesburg; grandchildren, Devin Smith, of Newport, Chris and Brandy Smith, of Morristown, and Jessica, Matt, and Colt McClain, of Kingsport; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Brown Funeral Chapel with Rev. Nelson Harbin officiating. Interment was in the Coleman Cemetery in White Pine.
The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday evening at Brown Funeral Home.
