(April 14, 1948 - March 23, 2011) U.S. Veteran Sherrill Morgan Norwood, age, 63, of Del Rio, passed away, Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at his home. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death his parents, Clayton and Cedia Virginia Norwood; and son, Tony Norwood. He is survived by his son Jason Norwood, of Del Rio; daughter, Tonia Norwood of Del Rio; brother, Glenn Norwood and wife Selma of Hot Spring, NC; sisters, Vonda Grigsby and husband Jeff, and Linda Rowland all of Del Rio; grandchildren, Audrina Norwood, Elizabeth York, Katlyin Norwood and Clay Pierce; special friends, Tony Sablinskas, Marsha Norwood, Jimmy Moore and Billy Jack Rowland. Special thanks to Jeff Grigsby, Sandra Huff and Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Friday, March 25, 2011 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 26, 2011 in Norwood Cemetery, Del Rio. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral.
