  [S24] The Newport Plain Talk, (http://www.newportplaintalk.com), 18 May 1999. Mrs. Susie Sane, 79, of Parrottsville, died Saturday, May 15, at Baptist Hospital of Knoxville. She was a member of Long Creek Christian Church and a member of the Senior Citizens Quilters. She was preceded in death by husband, Clinton Sane; and brother, Jim Gregg. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred and Richard Wegg of Ashton, Maryland, and Minnie Faye and Charles Ottinger of Greeneville; son and daughter-in-law, Liston C. and Paula Sane of Parrottsville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family called at their convenience on Monday afternoon and evening at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home. The funeral was 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Paul Jennings and Rev. Terry Humbert officiating. Interment was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parrottsville Volunteer Fire Department. Costner-Maloy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
