Orville Ealy, 67, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 4, 2002 following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Ealy was a farmer and a Baptist by faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Bonnie (Buckner) Ealy; daughter, Kimberlane Ealy Dickinson; two brothers, Sgt. Carl Ealy, killed in Vietnam, and Eugene Ealy.
Surviving Orville, his wife of 48 years, Allie (Ramsey) Ealy, of Newport; two sons, Ronald Dale Ealy, of the home, and Jimmy and wife, Rose Ealy, also of Newport; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Barbara and Terry Berchtold, of Brunswick, Ohio; Mary Ellen and D.C. Brockwell, of Newport; Patsy and Drew Douglas, of Newport; Betty Jo King, Cartsie and Ernest Maxwell, also of Newport; sister-in-law, Emma L. Ealy, of Cleveland, OH; grandchildren: Chad Ealy, Chris and wife Rebecca Arrington, and Mike Suggs, Jr.; two step-grandchildren, Jimmy and Kim Shults; great-grandchildren, Caitlin Arrington and Kimberly Suggs; several aunts, nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., September 5, 2002 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m.
Graveside service will be conducted Friday, September 6, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Union Cemetery. Rev. Mike Hensley will officiate.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to make final arrangements for Mr. Orville Ealy.
