He was a window tinter with Glass Masters. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Dale and Betty Suggs; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson Suggs; grandfather, Theodore Crumbley; grandmother, Mildred Crumbley Hackler; and the mother of his son, Kim Ealy. Survivors: wife, Marcy Cruz of the home; son, Michael Dale Suggs Jr. of Newport; stepson, Chris Arrington of Newport; brother, George Simons of New Orleans, Louisiana; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sharlene and Clifford Sane of Newport. Additional survivors include several other relatives and in-laws, including cousins, Maudella Dunn Sutton, Freda Thornton, and Phyllis Allison, all of Newport. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, at the Costner-Maloy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Franklin Wines and Rev. Junior Loveday officiating. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery. Costner-Maloy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
