Mrs. Lorene Ann Gregg , age 76 , of Parrottsville , passed away Monday evening, August 31, 2015, in a Knoxville hospital from complications of pneumonia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. A life long member of Bethel Baptist Church where she attended regularly and enjoyed the Christian fellowship and relished gospel music, she also enjoyed playing the piano, auto harp and singing in the church choir. She was born in Cosby and attended Sunset Gap School and graduated from Cocke County High School. Mrs. Gregg was preceded in death by the tragic loss of her son Mark Wayne Gregg ; parents Curtis Sutton, Sr. and Clessie Williams Sutton; brother Junior Sutton; and half- sisters Iva Sutton Parks and Wilma Sutton Gentry. Survivors include her husband of fifty-six years Jack Wayne Gregg ; sons Calvin Gregg and Cort Gregg , all of the home; granddaughters Anissa (Ryan) Adcox and Maggie Gregg , all of Parrottsville ; half-sisters Faye Sutton Barton of Virginia and Becky Sutton of Georgia; half-brother Jack Sutton of Ohio; aunts Margaret Dunn of Newport and Verma Dixon of Cosby. Additional survivors that will sadly miss her are a host of family, friends and neighbors leaving a void that only Christian faith can heal. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015, at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Sutton and Pastor Chad Webb officiating. Interment will be in the Faubian Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Thursday at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 695 S.
