Jack Duane Norris, 65, of Denver Road, Greeneville, died Thursday, March 9, at Johnson City Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Octie and Bernard Norris.
He is survived by his wife, Jettie Norris; a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Kathy Norris of Parrottsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Mike Wilhoit of Dothan, Alabama; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Betty Neithammer of Maryville, John and Mary Ann Lesperance of Bean Station, and Charlie and Debra Raines of Newport; several nieces and nephews; a special aunt and uncle, Roy and Gladys Ottinger of Parrottsville; a special cousin, Mrs. Jack Keener; and special friends at Knowles Market in Newport.
The funeral service was held at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at Doughty-Stevens Chapel. Interment will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at St. James Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were Ted Winters, Mack Gregg, Bill Blazer, Trent Ottinger, Beach Waddell, George Stewart, Burl Ottinger, Junior Gregg, John Huff, and Denver Trentham.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Parrottsville Community Library or the Parrottsville Fire Hall.
The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday preceding the service at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home, Greeneville, is in charge.
