KNOXVILLE-Polly Louise Taylor, age 75, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2002, at Fort Sanders Parkwest Hospital. Mrs. Taylor was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was a member of Concord United Methodist Church in Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Home and Flora Kyker Bryant; her first husband, Paul Hartsell; and sisters, Volena Ball, Thelma McSween, Madge Fraizer, and Carolyn Spears.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, James C. Taylor, of Knoxville; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald P. and Barbara C. Hartsell, of Knoxville and Rev. Brian K. and Patricia A. Taylor, of Kingsport; seven grandchildren, Wesley Hartsell, Brent Hartsell, Brandi Mee and husband, Michael, Cara Beth Hartsell, Brittany Taylor, Zachary Taylor, and Carrie Taylor; brothers, William J. Bryant, of Cosby, George Bryant, of Newport, and Charles Bryant, of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Taylor is at Highland West Funeral Home, 9913 Sherrill Lane, Knoxville, TN 37932. Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Highland West Cemetery with Rev. Nathan Malone officiating. A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday at Concord United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Kilday and Rev. Beecher Dunsmore officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Concord United Methodist Church, 11020 Roane Drive, Knoxville, TN 37922.
