BRYANT, WILLIAM JUD - passed away Friday, July 4, 2003. He was a native of Cocke County and served in County Court of Cocke County from 1960-1966, was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner where he also served as Chaplain for two years, Past Master of Masonic Lodge 306 in Raeford, NC, was a veteran of WW II, Army Air Force, served in the South Pacific and retired from the US Department of Agriculture. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita G. Jenkins Bryant parents, Homer and Flora Mae Kyker Bryant sisters, Thelma McSween, Volena Ball, Madge Frazier, Polly Taylor and Carolyn Spears. He is survived by his wife, Alice Geraldine Card Sandifer Bryant of the home step daughters, Joanna Sandifer Spiliotis of Waxhaw, NC and Gayla Sandifer Jackson of Perry, Ga. step grandchildren, Joella Spiliotis Roseborough, Adam and Andrew Spiliotis and Scott and Jillian Jackson brothers, George Bryant of Newport, Tenn. and Charles Bryant of Knoxville, Tenn. Friends may call Monday anytime at the Manes Funeral Home with private graveside service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cosby Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 52 Cosby, Tenn. 37722. Manes Funeral Home in charge.
