Brenda S. Phillips, 59, of 135 Mariner Drive, Newport, died January 8, 2002 at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital.
A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Charles P. and Margaret Phillips Snow. She was a member of the Newport Church of God, a resident council president of Mariner Health of Newport, took college courses in writing, and was a friend to everyone.
Surviving are two daughters, Tammy Fowler and Renee Young, both of Greer, South Carolina; one son, Jeff Ball, of Florida; one brother, Darrell Snow, of Taylors, South Carolina; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and seven step-children.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Ray Mims.
A memorial service will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2002 at Mariner Health of Newport.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Tammy Fowler, 975 Apple Valley Road, Duncan, SC.
