Jamie Whitney Wood, 23, of Newport, passed away Sunday at St. Mary’s Hospital in Knoxville, following a lengthy illness.
She was a member of Denton Baptist Church.
She graduated from Cocke County High School in 1995.
She is survived by her daughter, Raven Breeze Foland of Newport; her parents, James Harry and Carolyn Wood of Newport; sisters, Tracy Large and her husband, Jeff, and Teresa McGaha, all of Newport; grandmother, Hattie Lethco of Newport; grandfather, Harold Holder of Cosby; aunt and uncle, Barbara and Larry Tapp of Spartanburg, South Carolina; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gene Watkins officiating. Interment will be at Union Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Foland, Jeff Large, Larry Tapp, Wayne Tapp, Patrick Hannagan, and Kelly Laws.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
Brown Funeral Home is in charge.
