VALENTINE, JULIA LENORA TEASLEY - age 70 of Powder Springs, formerly of Knoxville, TN, entered into eternal rest, April 29, 2012 at Cobb Hospital. Retired from CDC, Inc and was employed with Lockheed Martin. She was employed untiringly through several Government, Civic and Community, with being one of blacks in Government. Julia's early education was in Knoxville, TN, concluding with Knoxville College. While residing in Knoxville, she was a member of Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church. Preceded in death by mother, Jimmie Teasley; father, Jules Teasley; and sister, Ruth J. Jones. Survivors, sons, Eric Valentine and Richard (Tami) Valentine, both of Knoxville; daughters, Ingrid Valentine, Knoxville and Michelle Valentine, Marietta, GA; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth (Patrice), James Edward Teasley and James Chandler, all of Knoxville; sisters, Jamesena Teasley, Knoxville; Magdalene Henry and Hazel Chandler, Hartsford, CT, Emma (George) Tate, Beverly Atkins, Willie (Amon) Reed, all of Knoxville; aunts, Hattie Wright and Hazel Rodgers; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family will receive friends, 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., Saturday at Payne Avenue Baptist Church; funeral service, 1:00 p.m., Rev. Richard Brown, Pastor, Rev. Cecil Clark, Officiating, Rev. Willie J. Gallaher, Eulogist.
