Charles McGaha, 65, of Grassy Fork, went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 11, 2003, at his residence following a short illness.
He was a farmer and a Baptist by faith.
His parents, James Isaac and Mary (Cagle) McGaha; brothers, Jess and Hugh McGaha; sister, Joyce McGaha; and step-mother, Ollie McGaha, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Loretta (Hill) McGaha, of Hartford; sons, Charles David McGaha, of Hartford, and James Isaac McGaha, of Hartford; daughters: Yvonne Rollins, of Hartford; Barbara McGaha, of Newport; Sheila McGaha, of Cosby; and Patricia McGaha, of Newport; sisters, Evelyn Keck, of Sharps Chapel, and Bessie Johnson and her husband, Clint, of Sharps Chapel; brothers: Roy McGaha and his wife, Arlene, of Newport; Gene McGaha and his wife, Sally, of Del Rio; and Floyd T. McGaha, of Reidtown; grandchildren: Angie Wall, Donny Rollins, Marty Rollins, Michelle McGaha, Nikki Brummer, Joe McGaha, and Mary McGaha; great-grandchildren: Daniel Wall, Luke Rollins, Kiesha McGaha, and Mason McGaha.
Mr. McGaha will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rex Norton officiating. Interment will follow at George Freeman Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, May 13, 2003, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
