Bridgette Anetra Phillips, age 24, of Newport, passed away Friday, December 1, af ter being involved in an auto mobile accident.
She was preceded in death by her father, Freddie Dane Askew, of Newport, on December 28, 1998, and a spe cial great-papaw, Kenneth "Pa" Walker, of Bybee, on November 15, 1993.
She is survived by her two sons, Freddie "Logan" West and Hunter Max Phillips, of Newport; her mother, Sheila Askew, of Newport; brothers, Brian Askew and Bradley Askew, both of Newport; and sister-in-law, Brooke Askew, of Newport.
Bridgette is a special granddaughter of Charles and Ruby Askew, of Parrottsville, and Tilman and Ina Holt, of Newport.
She is missed and loved by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many more friends, and also deeply missed and loved by her former husband, Max "Barry" Phillips, of Del Rio.
The funeral will be 8 p.m., Wednesday, at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Wells and Rev. Dennis Caldwell officiating, with burial at 1 p.m., Thursday, in Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Wednesday 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. prior to the funeral at Manes Funeral Home.
Manes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
