(May 16, 1930 - January 21, 2011) Roy Harold Anthony, age 80, of Maryville, passed away peacefully at home, Friday, January 21, 2011. Roy was born May 16, 1930 and was a faithful member of Law’s Chapel Baptist Church and a lifelong farmer in the Hubbard and Chilhowee View Communities. Preceded in death by his parents, Laz and Ethel Anthony; and brothers, Clell, Blake and Kenneth. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Wannel Boring Anthony; sons, Roger Dale and Ronald both of Maryville; sister, Gladys Robertson; sister in law, Marjorie Anthony; brothers in law, George Lee and Merilyn Spradlin; Willie and Nancy Boring, Raymond and Linda Boring; and Homer and Mae Crowder all of Maryville; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Blount Memorial Hospice for all their help and kindness. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blount Memorial Hospice (Blount Memorial Hospital Foundation, 907 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Maryville TN 37804). Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Rex Everett and Rev. Rick Boring officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Grandview Cemetery for the graveside service and interment.
