(September 13, 1943 - December 2, 2014) Raymond Claude “Zeke” Boring, age 71, of Maryville, passed away at the family home, Tuesday, December 2, 2014. Raymond graduated from Everett High School in 1961, attended Hiwassee College, and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in accounting. He worked for ALCOA Inc. until retiring in 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezekiel T. and Stella Jenkins Boring; brother, Orville C. Boring; sister, Merilyn D. Spradlin; and parents-in-law, Earl and Phyllis Stephens. He leaves behind his wife, Linda S. Boring; daughters, Brae E. Boring of Houston, TX, and Shannan G. Lawson of Maryville; grandchildren, Destiny G. Boring of Maryville, Mengesha E. Brook of Houston, TX, and Jayda M. Lawson of Rosemount, MN and brother, Willie T. Boring; sisters, Wannel Anthony and Mae C. Crowder all of Maryville; sister-in-law, Beverly Joe Wormsley; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Raymond was a loving husband, daddy, and papaw, and an active member of his community. He will be greatly missed by many. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, Elder Tommy Boring and Rev. Rex Everett officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Elder Ricky Boring officiating.
