Sarah E. Gorman, 80, Evansville, Ind., died at 8:20 a.m, Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Mrs. Gorman retired in 1983 after serving 16 years as a kindergarten teacher at Lodge and Vogel schools. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Eugene E. Gorman; a daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Steve Brownlee of Fremont, Nebraska; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Deb Gorman of Newburgh; 1 sister, Grace Crowder of Elizabethtown, Tenn.; 1 brother, John R. Shults of Greenville, South Carolina; 3 grandchildren, Sarah Brownlee of Fremont, Nebraska, Meredith Gorman of Newburgh, Indiana, and Madelynn Gorman of Newburgh, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2002, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, with Reverend Alan Pollack officiating. Entombment will be in Oak Hill Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 pm, Thursday, June 27, 2002, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue. Memorial contributions may be made to Evansville Christian Life Center.
